Hey friends!
Yes, you—reading this post, sipping your coffee (or tea… or, hey, maybe you’re more of a kombucha kinda person?). Today, I want to share a brand-new video from my recent Scarlet Communion reading for the Fellowship of the Griots, which sounds fancy but was basically me, a mic, and a Zoom room full of beautiful souls who love storytelling just as much as we do.
Now, you might be wondering:
“Do I really have time to watch a video right now?”
Obviously. Because you clicked on this post, and if you’re here, it means you’ve at least got a few minutes to spare. Trust me—your laundry will wait. The detergent never forgets, but it definitely forgives.
“What’s so special about this reading?”
I’m so glad you asked. The piece is called “The First Time She Met Her Father,” and it’s all about, well… meeting your father for the first time. Original, right? Spoiler alert: things don’t go exactly as planned, and the color red takes on a whole new meaning by the end. Let’s just say it’s not all balloons and confetti.
“Are you going to make me cry?”
Only if you’re prone to tears when reading about heartbreak, childhood longing, and the complexities of family ties. If you’re made of steel, then maybe not—though I do sneak in some comedic relief. So either you’ll cry or you’ll laugh, or you’ll do both (which is totally allowed here).
“Where can I watch this epic reading?”
I’ve got you covered! The video is linked below, so feel free to click, watch, and let me know in the comments if you’d like to hear more. Because, oh dear subscriber, there’s always more.
“What do I do after watching?”
Like the video—because, yes, we thrive on that sweet affirmation.
Comment—share your reactions and your questions, or just come say hi!
Share—with your friends, your neighbors, your local barista. Seriously, I welcome everyone into this story-loving party.
“Wait, I’m loving this content. How do I stay connected?”
