HARLEM, NY – Soon-to-be acclaimed author Scarlet Ibis James is set to release her highly anticipated debut book, Scarlet Yearnings: Stories of Love and Desire, on October 14, 2024. This collection of twelve evocative short stories explores the depths of love, longing, and human connection, offering readers a profound glimpse into lives that may feel distant but resonate deeply with universal emotions.
Scarlet Yearnings invites readers into a world where the characters’ desires and struggles mirror their own, regardless of background. As an immigrant herself, James uses her stories to bridge cultural divides, allowing readers to see immigrants in America as human, not much unlike themselves, with lives full of passion, vulnerability, and resilience.
